“He is going to make a transfer” – Belief Leeds star will be sold this summer, expected to cost around €40m
Süleyman Öztürk talked to Voetbal International about the forward, and his words are shared in today’s Outlet FC Update.
The commentator believes that considering his recent success with the Whites, the Leeds player should soon be prepared for a major move.
He is among the top scorers in the Championship, and a premier club will be home to him starting in the upcoming campaign. There’s no other option for him to make a transfer, Öztürk declared.
“I would like to see him at a higher level. He has developed fantastically over the past six months. He is fast and good on the outside, but also as a number ten. I think he should cost around €40m.”
Feyenooord was reportedly considering bringing Summerville back to the team last summer, but Öztürk has pointed out that he should now be too costly for them, making it a “unrealistic” option, according to FC Update.
“He has become truly priceless for a club like Feyenoord, one of the best players in the Championship.”
Summerville from Feyenoord was signed by Leeds for a meagre €1.5 million in the summer of 2020.
After joining their academy, the winger eventually found his way into the Whites’ starting lineup, where he currently plays with 38 appearances this season, 16 goals, and 9 assists.
With a contract with the Elland Road team that expires in 2026 and a current Transfermarkt valuation of €18 million, it appears that his future will primarily depend on the significant bids that the club receives this summer.

Most likely, that is a wise decision. Roberts has conducted The Championship in the Premier League, making him as experienced as they come. Especially if they lose, Burnley is unlikely to ask for a large sum of money.
Roberts is therefore a goal for Leeds come summertime, and it is likely that he stays. That, however, is not good news for Jamie Shackleton’s aspirations to sign a contract and remain at Elland Road. He has till June to complete his deal.
Farke dropped hints early this year about Shackleton perhaps signing a new contract at the conclusion of 23–24, despite Shackleton’s multiple ailments this season and his inability to start many games.
However, there is no need in giving Shackleton a contract if Leeds intends to bind Roberts to a long-term relocation from Burnley. That’s in spite of his stellar 2023–24 campaign under the German leader.

Only nine times has Shackleton been in the Championship this year, and that total included eight games played before the end of October. With the arrival of Roberts, he has slipped even farther in the hierarchy.
In the 1-0 loss to Birmingham earlier this season, the Leeds academy product played right wing. He can also play in midfield and on the left side of defence. On the right side of the defence, nevertheless, he is primarily utilised.
In light of this, even though Farke hinted at a new contract, if Leeds signs Roberts as the latest story indicates, Shackleton will undoubtedly be leaving on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
