The journalist for The Athletic stated on March 17 via his X account that Farke concluded that Summerville didn’t have a major issue and that Gray’s ankle appeared to be in good condition.

Though nothing in the EFL is guaranteed, it would be imprudent of the 49ers to not begin making plans for what Leeds’ team might look like if they are to return to the top division at the first opportunity.
Leeds plot summer swoop for Longstaff
Farke is keeping an eye on Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff as he tries to spell out his summer buying plans, according to reports from The Mirror and MOT Leeds News. The source states that the 26-year-old, who is currently playing for his hometown team Newcastle, is desired by Leeds, but only for “no more than £15 million.”
Longstaff, who made his first team debut in late 2018, has grown to be a Tyneside fan favourite, making 172 appearances for the Magpies. The midfielder has 11 goals in his Toon career, the most notable of which came in the team’s Champions League victory over PSG this season.

The 26-year-old has struggled to get regular minutes this season due to a combination of bad form and recurring ailments. Manager Eddie Howe has stood by Longstaff in spite of these problems, stressing his significance at a recent press conference:
“Sean has had some really good games for us this season and he is a really important player. He has game intelligence and his understanding of what we want from him is of the highest level.
“I know how good he is, and I support him and his abilities. When he performs at his peak, he is invaluable to us, but I do believe that in order to find his ideal rhythm, he needs to exercise frequently.”
Given that Longstaff’s contract is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025, the 49ers may be keen to finalise any transfers as soon as possible in order to secure the best offer.
