Moyes facing Phillips dilemma

The likelihood of Kalvin Phillips signing a long-term contract to play for West Ham United is dwindling.

After mistakes and a sending-off for us, it is now crystal clear how he only managed to make four appearances for Manchester City.

Things are becoming worse and worse for the midfield player now that he has been benched a lot even though David Moyes made him a priority purchase in the winter.

Prior to the 28-year-old signing his loan agreement with the Hammers, Newcastle United was reportedly interested in the player and are reportedly keeping a close eye on the role.

But considering how the midfielder has performed for the Hammers, City manager Pep Guardiola’s ambitions of recouping the £40,000 he spent for the player appear to be long gone.

Given that Edson Alvarez is suspended and Moyes is certain that he needs more playing time, he will be hoping to make the squad against Villa.

Leverkusen warned about ‘frightening’ West Ham

Antonio stated on the official West Ham website, “We are always thinking about winning it; whenever we get into Europe, we believe we can win it.”

“There are many well-known players out there, but we have experience winning in Europe. We won the (UEFA Europa) Conference League last year and advanced to the semifinals the previous two years, so maybe this time around we can repeat those achievements.

“We can defeat anybody, in my opinion, especially if the second leg is held at home, as that is what everyone always wants to see, so we can reward our supporters.” We think that when we play here, we can win the game, so it doesn’t matter if we lose. It’s ours.

“The quality we have behind me is brilliant. Jarrod (Bowen) bags goals, Kudus also scores goals and Lucas (Paqueta) adds goals, but he is more of an assist man. But what we have going forward is frightening as we have got pace, power, strength, and the ability to score goals.”

Consider yourselves warned Leverkusen
