Leeds United caught in ‘absolutely ridiculous’ situation to stun Sky Sports pundits live on air
Clinton Morris believes that Leeds United and Leicester City will automatically advance from the Championship top four, calling it “absolutely ridiculous.”
During the Sky Sports pundit’s live commentary during the Whites’ 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on 8 March, he expressed his admiration for the high bar that the top teams in the division are setting.
With Morrison being astounded by the competition for the top two spots and a direct path into the Premier League, host David Prutton referred to the results amassed by the Whites, Foxes, Ipswich, and Southampton as “stunning.”
The highest number of points amassed by the top four in a Championship season at this point in the last 20 years, according to Prutton, who spoke at 7:46 p.m. Really, Clinton, isn’t that a startling statistic?
Morrison shot back, saying, “The top four is stupid, utterly ridiculous. That has been outstanding. “Who will be the top two?” is a question you are welcome to ask. Everything is constantly changing. I have predicted that Leicester and Leeds will win the season.
Farke might already be in a better situation than this, but there is still little room for error given the three formidable opponents who have the ability to push the Whites into the playoffs. This is especially true if it weren’t for the mayhem that characterised the summer, which included relegation followed by a takeover, a new manager, and a significant transfer business.
