Leeds man ‘certainly’ out of next game after injury tests return – Blow for him as he needs to keep impressing
This is according to Calciomercato.it, who provides the official word from AS Roma after the player’s injury test results are received.
The Leeds player will miss games due to a muscular ailment to his left thigh. He is currently in Italy till the conclusion of the season.
The number of them is unknown, but the report claims he will ‘definitely’ miss the forthcoming match against Fiorentina this weekend and may even have to skip the one the following week against Sassuolo.
If he does, he will not have to worry about Thursday’s game against Brighton as he was left out of Roma’s Europa League squad due to budgetary constraints. He will also have the international break to get well and prepared for the season’s final stretch.
The Dane will be furiously frustrated by this, as he likely expected to continue impressing Daniele De Rossi in the hopes of eventually winning a permanent move away from Elland Road.
It is now his responsibility to make sure he can play for the remainder of the season. If not, decisions will need to be made by everybody involved.
The defender, who joined the Serie A team from Leeds, has made 27 appearances in all competitions, contributing two assists and one goal to the score.
