How James Maddison responded to Tottenham post

Tottenham, like every other team in the modern era, posted a number of brief highlights from the win over Crystal Palace on social media.

Maddison was seen nutmegging Adam Wharton in one of these clips, but the Spurs No. 10 was quickly taken out by the Crystal Palace No. 20, who made a full recovery.

The England international commented, “That the best clip you could find? ” in reaction to Tottenham’s release. 🔂😂😂 It’s definitely a foul, but Jesus isn’t exactly a highlight reel moment 🤣.

Maddison is obviously a little taken aback that Spurs chose that particular video to feature as a highlight since it wasn’t particularly noteworthy.

It was a bit of an odd message from Tottenham because there were a lot of other elements of his performance that could have been cut for social media.

How James Maddison performed against Crystal Palace

Well, on Saturday, Crystal Palace was just too weak against Maddison.

The £40 million player earned five free kicks from the south Londoners, as WhoScored demonstrates, more than any other player on the pitch.

In addition, Maddison performed three successful tackles (no other Spurs player did so), two crucial passes, and two dribbles.

Even Timo Werner acknowledged how much he enjoys partnering with the attacking midfielder.

The Coventry-born maestro, who has been a major impact since recovering from injury in time for January’s 3-2 victory against Brentford, gave a calm performance.

Since Maddison’s comeback, Tottenham has won three and drew one of their five games; with a game remaining, the north Londoners are currently five points off of fourth place.
