How do you feel about the victory?

The most crucial thing is that we managed to gain three points even though we weren’t there at the races for that one.

Oxford played as though it were their Wembley, as most teams do, and they looked better than their league standing would indicate. With a few of saves, Will Norris kept us in the match.

Oxford is likely upset that they didn’t win the game because it was close. Although a tie would have been a fair result, that indicates that the team is improving or that they are champions.

Who stood out for you?

Making a choice is difficult. While Christian Saydee entered for the winning goal, he isn’t my style. Conor Shaughnessy performed flawlessly. Marlon Pack is a really talented player.

Hence, Joe Rafferty is my pick. In addition to being a reliable player, he leads the team on the pitch and always thinks strategically and makes the appropriate choices. Amazingly good.

As a true professional with ox-like strength, Rafferty truly is Mr. Consistent. Pack may be Pompey’s captain if you removed him from the squad.

I would pick Rafferty over Zak Swanson any day, even if they are two very different players at right back. Though still has to grow, Swanson is better in the long run.

What do you mean Saydee isn’t your ‘cup of tea’?

He seems a little like a headless chicken, and it’s unclear if he’s being used to his full potential. I’m assuming he would prefer to play the number 10 role than be upfront.

You know what, in September 2004, when Ricardo Fuller scored his first goal for us against Crystal Palace, I made a promise to everyone in North Upper that he wouldn’t score another goal that season, and if I was incorrect, I would eat a £10 note. Never once was I required to.

I told those same folks standing close to me that if Saydee scored that game against Oxford, I would eat a £10 note because I thought he was the perfect substitute. Yes, I did!

Even if they are plastic now, it wasn’t simple for me to chew and swallow. The finest £10 I’ve ever spent, I think. Bravo to Saydee—she’s amazing.

You gave Myles Peart-Harris a very low mark.

As everyone witnessed today, he isn’t a number six. He didn’t feel at ease in the position, and his careless pass resulted in the penalty.

Although Sean Raggett should have stayed on his feet and challenged the custodian since the ball was heading away from the goal, Peart-Harris was the one who started the sequence.

He didn’t always use the ball as much as he should have in that situation, but overall, especially towards the conclusion of the first half, he looked good with the ball at his feet and moving forward.

Rather than being evil, I believe he is a victim of his circumstances. He is not in the correct position.
