Neymar sends six-word message to Richarlison after cryptic Tottenham warning
Latest Tottenham news with Richarlison sending a cryptic message that prompted a reply from his fellow Brazilian Neymar

Neymar has sent a brutal reply to a Tottenham message by his Brazil international teammate Richarlison. The duo have built up a friendship while on international duty with Richarlison’s goal-scoring form for Brazil often making him the first-choice No.9 in a lethal attack alongside Neymar and the likes of Vinicius, Rodrygo and Lucas Paqueta.
Prior to the 2023/24 season, the 26-year-old had scored just three goals during his debut season in north London, however under Ange Postecoglou he has been in superb form. After a challenging start to the campaign, Richarlison has now scored nine goals in 10 games, however he has failed to find the back of the net in his last two appearances.
He is still impressive, though, and Postecoglou is pleased with his work off the ball. “Richy was good again, not just his goals but his general play,” the Spurs manager said following Richarlison’s brace against Everton, his old team.Once more, it held great significance for us. Richy put in a lot of work for the club, and he still has more to give. He is practicing his game diligently.”
From the look of Neymar’s Instagram response, it appears that Postecoglou is not the only person who adores Richarlison. The forward and Neymar obviously have a lighthearted relationship. With the message, “I’m gonna shock the word!!!,” the Spurs attacker shared a picture of himself with boxing gloves while presumably at Hostpur Way. In response, Neymar said, “It’s going to shock a dove.”
After missing their scheduled match this past weekend due to Chelsea’s match in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, Tottenham will play again this Saturday against Crystal Palace. Given that Postecoglou had lost to Wolves earlier in the month, having the extra sleep would have been quite helpful.
Pedro Porro (left) and Destiny Udogie (right) both sustained minor injuries during the game, but they may be available for this week’s London derby versus Palace. Postecoglou revealed in his injury update at a press conference last week that “Destiny picked up a knock last week and he’s not available for tomorrow [to face Wolves]”.
“You shouldn’t take it too seriously. Pedro suffered a strain during training that would likely take a few weeks to heal. Hopefully, he doesn’t miss too many with the game break. Postecoglou continued, “Probably the major one for us is Fraser Forster,” in response to a serious injury setback. He likely will miss a few months due to a foot fracture.”
