‘I watch this guy’… BBC pundit felt so blown away by 21-year-old’s work rate in Leeds United win last night

The 3-1 comeback victory over Leicester City on Friday was earned by Leeds United only after a fierce battle.

Because both Patson Daka and Steve Mavididi missed crucial opportunities and paid the consequences, the Whites survived the second half by the narrowest of margins.

Leeds was considerably below par for much of the encounter, even though they had several excellent chances in the first half. Several important players had bad nights just when it was least expected.

Georginio Rutter was among those who fit that description for the first 80 minutes of the match, but he seemed to take the game by the scruff of the neck and assist Leeds secure an incredible three points..

Neil Redfearn, who spoke on BBC Radio Leeds following the game, expressed his amazement at the amount of effort Rutter, even when not performing at his optimum, is able to put into every game.

Rutter’s work pace astounds Redfearn.

“That drive to cross the finish line, and as I mentioned earlier, some players possess those attributes, and Rutter has a lot of it,” the speaker stated. This guy plays at such a fast tempo in every game that I just don’t know where he gets his energy from.

“He just puts on all kinds of performances; I’m not sure what they are feeding him.” He just runs his socks off, therefore it’s likely that he was hyper as a child and never slept.

Notwithstanding the fact that he hasn’t played at his best the past two games, Rutter has been instrumental in Leeds’ victories, giving them three points each time.

Leicester frequently lost possession after they were able to mark Rutter out of the game. And still he persisted, contributing significantly to all three goals in the end.

He set up Archie Gray’s winning goal with a pass, set up Connor Roberts’ equalising goal with a dart into the box, and won the third free-kick with a slamming run. For that reason, you are unable to remove him while there is still a chance to win.
