West Ham United: Declan Rice reacts to Said Benrahma after what happened at Lyon
Declan Rice, an Arsenal star, responded to Said Benrahma, a West Ham loanee, after the latter scored his first goal for Lyon.
The winger scored his first goal for his temporary team on Friday, February 23, when they defeated FC Metz 2-1.
Lyon won all three points away from home, with goals from former Premier League striker Alexandre Lacazette as well.
Benrahma posted on Instagram to celebrate his first goal and victory, writing, “Happy to score my first goal, big thanks to the supporters for the support.” Rice liked the post.
West Ham loanee Said Benrahma shines at Lyon
During the winter transfer window, Benrahma faced significant challenges at London Stadium while attempting to get a loan transfer to Lyon.
And even though it appeared that he would stay in East London, the Algerian was able to change his destination at the last minute to France.
But given his paucity of playing time under David Moyes this season, his departure was all but inevitable. In addition, the winger did not score in any of his 22 Hammers games, showing that he was not an effective player when given the chance.
With three matches under his belt, including his first against Metz, Benrahma has now scored once since he took over at Lyon.

After replacing the custodian at halftime, he scored in an impressive fifteen minutes.
Even though he moved from West Ham to Arsenal in the summer, former captain Rice is obviously eager to see how his former London Stadium teammates are doing.
