Tottenham to be without three key players for Wolves Premier League game as squad is revealed
Fraser Forster will be absent from Tottenham because, according to manager Ange Postecoglou, he would require almost two months to return to full training after taking a knock during practice.
He will be absent from the later-day encounter against the Wolves, along with Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie. Even though Postecoglou is an exceptionally skilled coach and driller, the Lilywhites will face another challenge if their first-choice full-backs are unavailable.
In his pregame press conference, Postecoglou confirmed that Fraser would not be out for long: “Fraser Forster is probably the major one for us; he had a knock in training and broke his foot. He will most likely miss a few months at most. These are the primary trio. Returning, nothing from the previous week. Everyone is in the office.”
Even though Udogie and Porro were not allowed to play in the game, the Spurs boss looked more positive about their situation, saying, “We’ve had a few setbacks this week.” Looks like past week was a little rough for Destiny [Udogie]. Not reachable for tomorrow; it’s not a big deal, I think. He should be back next weekend as there isn’t a game. Pedro Porro noticed a tense moment.
Prior to this match, Wolves had won three of their previous four top-flight matches, but two of those wins had been at Molineux. Spurs, on the other hand, had won five straight top-flight home games.
With four goals and five assists with the Lilywhites, Son Heung-min has contributed directly to nine goals in his last eight top-flight games

With a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur, who are back in Premier League play, will have a fantastic opportunity to solidify their place in the top four.
Coach Ange Postecoglou will now have to orchestrate back-to-back victories for Aston Villa in 2024 as they are just one point behind Spurs despite their recent loss to Manchester United.
Under Postecoglou, Tottenham has won five straight games at home, putting them in a strong position to continue their comeback. However, the Old Gold are extremely disciplined and would be delighted to achieve an unexpected league double.
Spurs team news vs Wolves
Captain Heung-min But son, who came off the bench to help Brennan Johnson win late last weekend, should start.
Spurs have a more fit team than they have had for the whole of Postecoglou’s career, but Porro’s injury will be devastating even though a star is in the wings for just this kind of situation.
Why Radu Dragusin must start vs Wolves
Radu Dragusin strengthened Tottenham’s defence when he signed a £27 million transfer from Serie A team Genoa in January, although he has only made three appearances for the team thus far.
Replacing Porro will undoubtedly be difficult because, according to Sofascore, the Spaniard has contributed seven assists in 23 Premier League games this season. He has also averaged 1.7 crucial passes, 2.9 tackles, 2.5 clearances, and 5.7 ball recoveries per game.
Dragusin has played right-back in the past and has been praised by talent scout Jacek Kulig for his “complete & dominant” approach. However, he may not seem to be Porro’s natural replacement—that honour goes to Emerson Royal.
He also has the attacking ability and marauding presence to replace Porro while keeping an aggressive defensive skill set; according to FBref, he ranks among the top 18% of center-backs across Europe’s top five leagues for assists over the past year and the top 10% for touches in the attacking penalty area per 90.
This season, Emerson Royal has only made three appearances at right-back and has spent the majority of it on the sidelines, with the exception of critical situations.
Dragusin won 67% of his duels this season in Serie A, averaging 3.3 ball recoveries, 0.4 crucial passes, and 4.6 clearances per game. It appears that he possesses the all-around skill set necessary to play on the right side of defence.
In the end, Dragusin cost a significant amount of money last month, and now that he is here, Postecoglou must unleash him right away. Porro has been outstanding this year, and replacing him is a difficult challenge.
