Moyes lost his closest ally after big transfer fallout claims new report

When pressed A recent rumour indicates that David Moyes lost his closest ally at West Ham due to a significant transfer breakdown.David Moyes has been there, done that, and received the t-shirt when it comes to feeling the heat at West Ham.

After all, during the previous 18 months, rumours had surfaced several times.

Moyes has always had the support of Mark Noble, the former captain who is now the sporting director

.Noble and Moyes have always been very much on the same page.

The renowned midfielder for the Hammers has a significant influence on every facet of the team. Recruitment is a part of that as well.

A recent story suggests that Moyes lost his closest ally at West Ham due to a significant fallout over a move.

Ibrahim Osman and Jota were being strongly connected to West Ham during their desperate attempt to add an attacker during the winter transfer window.

The Hammers ultimately decided not to sign either. Osman has since consented to a summer transfer to Brighton, a contender in the Premier League.

In an attempt to sign Osman, 90 Min has now stated that Noble supported technical director Tim Steidten.

Moyes, however, objected to the decision and preferred Jota. That is in spite of the tax ramifications being widely reported.

“Sporting director Mark Noble and technical director Tim Steidten were more inclined to push for a deal for emerging 19-year-old Ibrahim Osman, but Moores wanted to sign former Celtic winger Jota, who is out of the picture at Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad,” according to 90 Min.

“Tax and pay concerns made a deal with Jota difficult to move forward with in any case.

“Moyes was keen to focus on the here and now, which is understandable given the pressure he’s under and time left on his current contract; however, Steidten and Noble’s preference was to sign a player West Ham could develop into a first-team regular and they believe Brighton & Hove Albion’s model is one.”

Because, if accurate, Moyes was betrayed at a critical juncture by his greatest ally at the club.

Nothing suggests that the two are no longer on good terms.

However, it’s difficult to assume that there hasn’t been some suffering due to this fundamental disagreement over the route West Ham should be taking with their squad makeup and recruitment.

And when it comes to choosing the next manager of West Ham, Noble will be able to voice his own opinions about the path the team takes.

Things in the West Ham hierarchy seem to be getting a little sticky, with Tim Steidten now openly flirting with his admirers at Liverpool.

Just when everyone in the club seemed to be heading in the right direction.

Remember, though, that these are only rumours and allegations. Hopefully, the situation is not as dire or dramatic in real life.
