I saw ‘special’ Leeds United player prove he is now back to his very best last night
Joel Piroe and Cristian Summerville both reached the back of the net in the first ten minutes, giving the Whites a two goal lead.
After missing a fantastic opportunity to soon make it three, Willy Gnonto added two more goals each side of the half to cap off a very easy evening for Daniel Farke’s team.

Despite having had an amazing season thus far, Dan James will find it difficult to regain his place in the starting lineup after his injury comeback. He has now scored four goals in as many starts.
Gnonto back to his best for Leeds
Gnonto was still very much feeling the effects of his summer meltdown from earlier in the season, but a string of starts has allowed him to finally demonstrate his abilities.
Everyone was aware that the “special” Gnonto had what it took to tear up this league based on his performance the previous season, but it has taken him far longer than anyone had anticipated.
Aidy White claimed at the weekend he is now looking very much back to his best, while Farke also added that he has really grown up since the events of the summer, which can only be good for Leeds.
More often than not he is just so clean on the ball and when you’re adding two goals and an assist on top of that attribute, he just adds so much to the team.
That goal against Bristol City has pretty much single-handedly turned his season around and it could prove to be a significant turning point in the season for him, and Leeds.

Rutter’s play is commendable. He makes use of the ball, exerts a little physicality, and retrieves it. Though he loses the ball, he recovers it and displays some impressive footwork. Summerville hits it good, but it’s played wide.”

Before the ball got to Summerville, Rutter made a wonderful play, and when you play well, luck usually finds you. With their sixth clean sheet in seven league games, Leeds has won big.
