The Sky Sports host expects the Whites to win 2-1 and thinks Daniel Farke’s team can build on their thrilling victory over Rotherham United to leave South Wales with all three points.
Swansea’s recent 1-0 victory over Hull City put a stop to their five-match losing streak, but Prutton believes Leeds will still be “steamrolling” through the division.
He wrote the following in his Sky Sports Championship predictions on February 12: “Swansea came out on top at Hull City on Saturday, almost completely unexpected! They were completely out of form, but that only goes to show what can happen in this league at any time.
“Can they match that kind of performance when they play Leeds? Given that Daniel Farke’s team is now destroying everyone, this is a large ask. I can’t back United right now, even though it might close down in South Wales.
Daniel Farke to keep steamrolling with Leeds United
As they continued to battle for the automatic promotion spots, Leeds United was at its best against Rotherham thanks to a masterful combination of attacking talent that helped break down the Millers with ease.
Christine Summerville scored two fantastic goals, including a cheeky panenka that showed how confident Farke’s team is right now, while Patrick Bamford’s first goal was achieved under somewhat dubious circumstances.
With Dan James getting closer to making his first-team comeback, Leeds could be hoping to run wild once more on Tuesday night. On the other wing, Wilfried Gnonto and Archie Grey were combining superbly to cause havoc.
Prutton was right when he said that it is difficult to bet against the Whites right now. If they perform close to their potential against the Swans, they will be able to extend their incredible unbeaten streak for a few more days.
