Doctor: Leeds player likely out with Grade 3 adductor injury, may miss training for two weeks

The Wales international is not expected to be ready for the match against Swansea on February 13 after missing the weekend match against Rotherham.

Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, exclusively spoke to MOT Leeds News about James.

It seems like a Grade 3 out of 4 adductor injury, requiring more than three weeks of recovery.

“The club will implement a deliberate and progressive return to play strategy to ensure his safe and prompt return.

“Unless he’s in a more advanced stage of his recovery, he’s probably going to miss a week or two of training.”

Dan James to return to Leeds United XI?

At Elland Road, there’s a healthy rivalry for positions, and Daniel Farke will like matching up his attacking rivals.

Before being declared out, James had five goals and five assists in his previous five games. When he returns, James will be pounding on Farke’s door.

It is unclear if he has been selected ahead of Wilfried Gnonto or Jaidon Anthony on the right flank.

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Tottenham is seeking to sell Leeds United loanee Joe Rodon for between £10 and $15 million in the summer.

It’s thought that several Premier League teams made inquiries about the center back during the January transfer window, but Spurs’ asking price turned them down.

Football Insider has been informed by reliable sources that Ange Postecoglou’s team is keen to cash in on Rodon, who is not part of the Lilywhites’ long-term strategy.

Football Insider said on February 9 that although the Whites will find it difficult to retain the Welshman unless they are promoted back to the Premier League, they are very keen to keep him on board indefinitely.

Tottenham’s valuation would not pose a problem for Leeds should they get promoted, but remaining in the second tier would prove a significant issue in convincing the Wales international to stay.

He moved to Elland Road on a season-long loan from Tottenham last summer, but the deal did not include an option to buy.

Daniel Farke’s side could also face competition from top-tier clubs to sign the 26-year-old next summer after his standout performances in the Championship this season.

Rodon has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Leeds, keeping 12 clean sheets in the league.

He has been crucial for Leeds in achieving the second-best defensive record in the Championship so far this season, with only league leaders Leicester City ahead of them.

Leeds’ 3-0 victory over Rotherham United on Saturday, February 10, has moved them up to third place in the Championship table.

Their next match is scheduled for Tuesday evening (February 13), away against Swansea City.
