Richard Keys: David Moyes could now quit West HamUnited amid contract confusion

David Moyes has never felt welcome at West Ham, according to Richard Keys, who has urged that he should resign.

In December of last year, Moyes revealed that he had had unofficial discussions about staying at London Stadium after this season.

But as the Scotsman approaches the last four months of his current contract, there has been no word on any discussions about new terms.

Keys stated, as quoted on Twitter, “There’s still no news of a new deal for David Moyes,” during his appearance on beIN SPORTS prior to West Ham’s crushing defeat at the hands of Arsenal on Sunday, February 11.

“I don’t know why that is the situation. It’s possible that neither partner wants the relationship to last.

“I don’t think he’s unhappy as such, but he’s never been made to feel like a Hammer, even after the success he’s had.

“Our generation is used to West Ham being in the second tier, but under his leadership, they are competing for championships and finishing in the top eight or top six. It’s unlike anything they’ve experienced recently.

Co-host Andy Grey continued, saying, “I don’t know why they’re not thrilled with Moyesey.”

David Moyes contract situation latest

The argument about whether or not Moyes will fulfil his contract has been going on for too long.

There were strong indications in late December that an agreement on a new contract had been reached and it was only a matter of formalising it.

At that point, the Irons had just won back-to-back games against Manchester United and Arsenal.

However, the outcomes have drastically declined since then. It has now gone seven games without a win after the devastating loss to Arsenal.
