Leeds United sign all formal documents on Luis Sinisterra transfer as £20m news emerges – Romano
According to Fabrizio Romano, Luis Sinisterra’s permanent departure from Leeds United is about to become official.
Following Phil Hay’s update on Thursday, February 8, the Itallian journalist reported via X on February 9 that Bournemouth and the Whites had finished all the necessary documents needed to make Sinisterra’s stay on the south coast permanent.
The official announcement of Sinisterra’s departure from Elland Road is scheduled for “today.”
A £20 million deal will be reached to secure his transfer to Bournemouth.
Time for Leeds United and Daniel Farke to move on
It might be considered smart business to bring in £20 million for a loanee in the middle of the season, and those monies could end up going a long way when the summer transfer market opens.
Thus far during his loan stay, Sinisterra has made just four Premier League starts for Bournemouth, totaling just 17 games with two goals and two assists.
It may therefore come as a surprise that the Cherries choose to extend his stay permanently rather than giving him a full season to prove himself. That is, however, better for Farke and Leeds.
In just 26 games for the team, the 24-year-old scored eight goals and provided one assist, demonstrating his success at Elland Road.
