Even though Daniel Farke has only had the opportunity for one complete training day thus far, he has revealed that he is in the running to start against Rotherham on Saturday afternoon.

He stated this through the YEP:

Daniel Farke has criticised Leeds United for not playing “fair play” following adjustments to their schedule at the beginning of March, which will see them play four games in ten days.

Less than 72 hours after playing Chelsea in a televised FA Cup fifth-round match on Wednesday, February 28, United will play Huddersfield Town in a West Yorkshire derby. The match takes place in the early Saturday lunchtime slot on Saturday, March 2. Kickoff is at 12.30pm.

Tuesday, 5th March, sees Leeds return to action at home against Stoke City before another derby away trip that has been moved forward to suit TV coverage.They will visit Sheffield Wednesday on Friday, March 8, with the game brought forward by a day so it can be screened on Sky Sports.

“I am never too concerned about this topic and I know it’s a difficult topic and we all benefit from TV companies who bring much money on the table and we have to take this into account.

“But sometimes, there’s a topic where enough is enough and I feel like this when I feel about what happens after the Chelsea game and around it.

Nothing could be worse. This implies that we will play four days in ten days.
