Daniel Farke reveals new Leeds United setback as he offers Connor Roberts update
Leeds, who face a demanding run of away games this month, will host Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United at home on Saturday.
The Millers head to Elland Road without a road victory this year, while Leeds has won five straight league games since the start of 2024 and is undefeated at home.
Despite playing two games since deadline day, Connor Roberts has not made his club debut. He was also ruled out of the FA Cup replay against Plymouth and did not register in time for the trip to Ashton Gate.
Even though Daniel Farke has only had the opportunity for one complete training day thus far, he has revealed that he is in the running to start against Rotherham on Saturday afternoon.
He stated this through the YEP:
“We will be gathering as a group for the second time this afternoon. His knowledge of this league is invaluable due to his extensive experience. In addition to his impeccable manners, he also exudes physical fitness. Together, we try to give him tidbits of knowledge on a variety of subjects rather than overwhelming him. He appears respectable in these conditions and is free for tomorrow.
Where will Leeds finish in 23/24?
In terms of other injury issues, Pascal Struijk and Dan James are still out as they recover from their respective setbacks.
However, there is another potential absentee there in Jamie Shackleton, who is yet to get back into full training after illness (via Phil Hay):
Leeds still have a strong enough side to see off Rotherham
