‘He’s that guy’: Ian Wright says Tottenham have one player who makes his ‘blood boil’

Ian Wright says Tottenham have one player who makes his ‘blood boil’

Richarlison of Tottenham Hotspur is a star player, and Ian Wright has lauded him before acknowledging that the striker makes his “blood boil.”

In a few hours, Spurs play Everton, and Richardson is anticipated to start up front. He will always remember this match against his former team, but all he wants is to win the game for Tottenham with a goal.

Ian Wright says Richarlison makes his ‘blood boil’

As Richarlison begins his second season at Tottenham, it seems that the current campaign has been far better than the previous one.

The Brazilian’s first season at Spurs was startling. He received a lot of flak for only managing three goals across all tournaments.

After undergoing surgery to address a health issue, Richarlison has returned to the pitch looking like a completely different player. In his last seven Premier League outings, he has scored seven goals.

Praiseing Richarlison, Ian Wright said he always thought the Brazilian would improve after healing his injuries. The 26-year-old, according to him, is the kind of player who can always “annoy” the opposition while yet managing to steal a goal.

“The thing with Richarlison, you see with Richarlison as well, I always said once he sorted out his groyne, he’s the kind of guy who can just go on those runs where he’ll score goals,” the speaker stated during an appearance on Wrighty’s House.

This season, Tottenham has produced several very outstanding players.

James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie, and a host of other celebrities have all received a tonne of praise for their performances.

And with good reason. Each of them has been outstanding in their own right. Nonetheless, this season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, there have been a few players that are marginally more undervalued than others.

Richarlison falls into that category and has shown his sceptics incorrect this season—and then some.

Harry Redknapp on Richarlison

Harry Redknapp told BEINSPORTS prior to the start of the season how he believed Richarlison would perform in his role as the leading number nine for the Spiurs—apparently not very well.

According to Redknapp, “[Richarlison] can’t fill Harry [Kane’s] boots,” Stats Perform was told. “No, he isn’t comparable to Harry Kane.
