Given the player’s poor showing this season, this will be very welcome news for Hammers supporters. The Algerian has made five league starts, however Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, and Mohammed Kudus are all preferred to him.
It is evident that West Ham wants at least one new winger before the transfer window ends on February 1st, given their pursuit of Jota from Al Ittihad and Ibrahim Osman.
West Ham should consider themselves fortunate to have located a team prepared to buy Benrahma for half of what they originally paid for a player in such poor form. But since the player hasn’t decided where he’s going yet, supporters shouldn’t get too ahead of themselves.
At West Ham right now, the winger doesn’t have much room. Remaining in London would not benefit David Moyes in any way; rather, it would only hurt his own career. However, given his FA Cup red card against Bristol City, it appears as though his time at West Ham is done.

According to Simon Jones, FC Twente is considering a loan deal for Divin Mubama, a striker for West Ham.
According to a journalist for The Daily Mail [January 30], the Eredivisie team is the most recent team to express interest in Mubama’s skills, but the Hammers are hesitant to let the 19-year-old depart London Stadium this month.
Although it is believed that Mubama has not yet consented to a new contract at West Ham, negotiations are anticipated to begin next month. Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom are already inquiring about the matter.
West Ham will lose an incredibly gifted young player if things continue the way they are with Mubama and the team, which makes the whole scenario very upsetting.
Additionally, Mubama is still being benched by David Moyes, who prefers to use the struggling Danny Ings on the pitch over the young player.
It makes sense that Mubama would prefer a loan transfer away from the Hammers than to be a reserve player, having made just eighteen professional games since being promoted to the first squad in August 2022.
With twenty goals in 29 academy games and forty-three goals in 61 appearances for the Under-18s, his numbers speak for themselves. An amazing prospect would be signed by FC Twente, who are now third in the Dutch premier division after Feyenoord and PSV.
But only if West Ham can get a new deal for the young player can they let this to occur. Why wouldn’t they want to hire him for the ensuing years, or at the very least benefit from his advancement?
Mubama at West Ham is all but lost if they let him leave the team on loan without committing to his future.
