Report: Tottenham hit by fresh injury blow as ‘brilliant’ player now has hamstring problem

More bad news for Tottenham as ‘brilliant’ winger has picked up  hamstring injury

Spurs’ terrible run appears to be continuing as injuries seem to go hand in hand with the team this season. While players like Richard Riley and Rodrigo Bentancur have been out, Spurs have faced serious injuries to some of their best players, including James Maddison and Micky van de Ven.Although a few of those elite players have returned, including Maddison, who played last night, the trend of injuries doesn’t appear to be stopping.

Jamie Donley, a teenage winger, is the most recent player to become ill, according to Football.London. Like a lot of players in the Premier League this year, Donley is dealing with a hamstring problem.

Injuries a big problem at Tottenham and beyond

Not only have important individuals like Harry Kane and Paul Schofield suffered greatly, but so have other teams, including Newcastle and Sheffield United.

Tottenham will be concerned to see a player with yet another hamstring and muscular issue. Naturally, from the sound of it, Donley shouldn’t have any serious complications and heal perfectly well.

Tottenham will, however, need to strive to have more control over the situation in front of the upcoming season, and they will also be hoping for some more good fortune.

It’s almost miraculous that they are still in the top four hunt after injuries threatened to ruin their season.

The Englishman may move to Old Trafford because of the “open channel” that was left following the last transaction for his Spanish teammate, according to Miguel Delaney of The Independent in his Reading the Game newsletter from January 5.

After Everton and Nottingham Forest were accused of FFP breaches, Robinson thinks that teams are all currently so “scared” of them that loan agreements that “surprise a few people” could occur.

Though the 23-year-old Sessegnon has missed almost the entire season due to surgery, the former England goalie believes it is still improbable that United would make a move before the deadline, and Spurs manager needs to exercise caution when making departures.

Under Ange Postecoglou, the former Fulham player has made just one appearance, entering late in the FA Cup victory over Burnley on January 5.

“The manager would find it challenging to approve any players’ departure at this time,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“Due to the sheer number of players they are missing, Tottenham needs to add players.

“It doesn’t seem like Reguilon has a long-term future at Tottenham under Ange, especially after returning from Manchester United, where it obviously didn’t work out for him.

“Sessegnon’s inability to play football for the first team would be his issue. If United choose to acquire him only because of his dearth of Premier League playing time, I’d be shocked.

“But, one of the reasons we are witnessing such a quiet January transfer season is that everyone is now terrified of FFP and the profit and sustainability law that Everton and Forest were punished with.

“Everyone is afraid of the FFP, but loans could occur, so some people might be surprised by deals like this.”
