‘Talks are progressing well’… £30 million player now decides he wants to join Tottenham
The most recent information regarding Antonio Nusa’s prospective relocation to north London comes from Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Norwegian talent appears to be in negotiations with Tottenham to sign him and return him to Club Brugge for the balance of the season on loan.
A deal with Nusa is the “furthest down the line” in terms of new hires that Spurs can make before the deadline on Thursday.
The North Londoners want to sign the 18-year-old before other Premier League teams, who are rumoured to be interested, sign him.
Furthermore, Tavolieri has stated that Nusa wants to move to Tottenham, even though Spurs and Brugge are still in negotiations.
Nusa keen to join Tottenham
On Thursday afternoon, Tavolieri posted an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Nusa on X.
“Talks are going well between Club Brugge and THFC regarding Antonio Nusa,” he wrote. The plan is to finalise the arrangements for a summer arrival this winter.
“Club Bruges hopes to surpass the record held by Charles De Ketelaere, who sold for 36 million euros, plus a bonus, to AC Milan.
It would be crucial for both teams to complete the transaction in the coming days. Antonio Nusa is eager to play for the Spurs.
Even if Spurs complete the signing, Nusa wouldn’t join Ange Postecoglou’s team until the summer, this is a very wise decision on the part of the team.
Numerous elite teams are showing interest in Nusa following his outstanding stint in Belgium.
To avoid getting into a bidding war over the summer, the Spurs are attempting to move quickly and capture a promising possibility.
Ben Jacobs has asserted that Tottenham is in a strong position to complete a deal because they are prepared to let Nusa finish the season at Brugge.
Nusa appears to have a bright future in the game, and Spurs may be about to sign one of the best players in Europe right now.
Hearing that Nusa is eager to move to Tottenham is also not shocking, given how much of an influence Postecoglou is now having in north London.
This season, the Australian has placed a lot of faith in Spurs’ younger players, and Nusa will surely be aware of that.
