Tottenham close to striking Antonio Nusa agreement after overnight developmen
Tottenham is putting a lot of effort on completing a £25 million January transfer for wonderkid Antonio Nusa of Club Brugge, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs are rumoured to be offering a deal in which the 18-year-old would be bought permanently and immediately loaned back to Brugge for the balance of the 2023–24 season.
Since November, when Football Insider first reported about Tottenham’s interest in Nusa, Ange Postecoglou’s team has made a proposal to finalise a deal before the deadline of February 1.
In an effort to optimise Nusa’s worth, the Belgian team rejected Chelsea’s summertime offer for the young player.
After negotiations over night, Spurs are now well-positioned to seal the deal in the last ten days of the January window.
Both in his own country of Norway, where he is already a full international, and in Belgium, where he has captured the attention of onlookers, Nusa is regarded highly in the Pro League.
In 26 games this 2023–24 season, the winger, who often plays on the left, has three goals and three assists.
Only last year, when the contract was set to expire in June 2027, did Nusa agree to a contract extension.

As they compete for triumph in the Europa Conference League this season, Brugge is reportedly eager to keep him at the team until the summer.
After arriving from Stabaek in 2021, he has played in 62 games for the team and scored six goals.

Tottenham is looking to sign players under the age of 24 to bolster their attacking lineup in the upcoming months.
After a 2-2 tie with Man United on January 14, Postecoglou’s team is currently ranked fifth in the Premier League.
