Doctor: PL player likely to pass medical at Leeds as transfer update emerges from Elland Road

Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy professional, exclusively spoke to MOT Leeds News about Ramsay:

He had to undergo a knee surgery that kept him out of action for over a year towards the end of 2022.

This will likely not affect his medical, however, as failed medicals are rare and usually require a significant issue.

While his injury required surgery, he appears to have returned to normal so it won’t cause any issues for the team that wants to sign him.

Ramsay was recalled by the Reds during the January transfer window while he was on loan at Preston North End this season.

He made his senior debut for Liverpool in November 2022 when he entered the game against Napoli in the Champions League as a second-half replacement.

This season, the 20-year-old has only made two league appearances; the most recent one was on January 12 in a 2-0 loss to QPR.

O’Riley has been observed by Premier League teams Newcastle United, Brighton, and Tottenham Hotspur. This season, O’Riley has tallied 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

Although O’Riley only recently signed a new contract with Celtic, it appears that he will not be short of suitors for the next phase of his career, since he has already stated he is ready.

However, O’Riley Celtic’s club record sale, which stands at £25 million as of Jota’s summertime move to Al Ittihad, must be met by any team hoping to recruit him.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke reports that Lewis Bate, a potential for Leeds United, has agreed to join MK Dons on loan.

Although the 21-year-old, who was born in Sidcup, has received England Under-20 cap experience, he has struggled to find playing time with the Whites this season. He has made just one appearance for Daniel Farke’s team, entering the game in the very last minute of their League Cup triumph over Shrewsbury back in August. He has played for their Under 21 team; his most recent game was in December versus Spurs.

If he joins MK Dons, he will be a part of a team that is actively pursuing promotion from League Two. After a difficult start to the season under Graham Alexander, they have performed admirably under Mike Williamson, winning six of their past eight League Two games.

Bate played 35 games while on loan at Oxford United in League One during the 2022–2023 season. With four assists and a goal in the Kassam, his performances were outstanding. Strangely, it was a goal versus MK Dons. He was crucial to the U’s as they

ensured safety under Liam Manning, but he suffered an injury towards the conclusion of the season that prevented him from playing until March 18 and from joining the Leeds Under 21 team again until late September.

Bate, a 2021 recruit from the Chelsea youth, has played five games for Leeds so far. The young player has made two starts for the Yorkshire team in the Premier League under Jesse Marsch, but in the eighteen months that have passed, he has not managed to make another start.

This summer, he was rumoured to be leaving, but nothing came of it. There have been persistent rumours about his departure, and the club is allegedly willing to sell him during this transfer window as well.

Writer’s View

For MK Dons, this may be a significant capture. Last season, Bate wasn’t just an Oxford loanee—he was an integral part of the team. They had a heartbeat in midfield thanks to his tremendous energy and work ethic, and it looked inevitable that he would at the very least be loaned back into League One.

It would be a major coup if he did sign with MK Dons. Given his extended layoff from the previous season, there may be doubts about his ability to repeat his Oxford form, but as a young player, he will undoubtedly be able to respond to those queries.

Without a doubt, he will proceed to Stadium MK to place himself in the shop window, and if he is given minutes, an auction will undoubtedly be held for him.
