Spurs agree to a midfielder agreement after the offer is approved, according to medical records.

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Tottenham has accepted a loan bid for Alfie Devine from Championship team Plymouth Argyle.

Within the next 24 hours, the 19-year-old is reportedly scheduled to have a medical with the Devon club.

Devine will join Plymouth on loan from Tottenham for the second time this month; Ashley Phillips, a promising defender, has previously joined on a temporary basis.

The young Spurs player’s contract was initially meant to last the entire season, but Port Vale has acknowledged that he has been called up by his parent club.

For the League One team in season, Devine made 26 appearances in all competitions, recording three goals and three assists.

Spurs have determined that the young player is ready to move up to the second tier after his initial loan stint at Vale Park.

After Ian Foster took over for Steven Schumacher at Plymouth Argyle earlier this month, the 19-year-old is expected to hook up with Foster.

Foster, who will be aware of the midfielder’s abilities, gave Devine his England Under-19 and Under-20 debut.

Though he can also play as a central midfielder, the young player typically plays as an attacking midfielder.

He signed his most recent extension in September 2022, and his deal with Tottenham runs until June 2027.

Eight points ahead of the bottom three teams in the division, Plymouth is ranked 19th in the Championship standings.

Devine might make his Argyle debut on Saturday, January 20, against Cardiff in their next second-tier match.

Reporters anticipate that in the summer, Spurs and Newcastle will make a bid for a forward.Author Ben Jacobs has said that Dominic Solanke, a target for Tottenham, might not want to leave Bournemouth in the middle of the season and risk missing out on a spot in the England team for Euro 2024, but Spurs and Newcastle could make a play for him in the summer.

If the North London team had suggested Solanke as a target last summer, most Spurs supporters would have been shocked.

But given how well the 26-year-old has performed this season, nobody is shocked to learn that Ange Postecoglou’s team is now considering him.

The Bournemouth star’s ability to perform at a higher level is something Tottenham is certain of, according to a December 25 story in The Sun. The Lilywhites are thinking of making a move for the player at the end of the current campaign.

The Telegraph disclosed last week that Newcastle United has also inquired about the center-forward’s availability, so it seems Spurs are not the only team to believe so.
