‘I’m told’: £21m man could be wearing a Leeds United shirt next season – journalist

After a challenging start to life on the south coast, Luis Sinisterra is beginning to make an impression while on loan at Bournemouth; but, it’s possible that the Colombian will return to Leeds United in the summer.

The 24-year-old became the seventh senior player to depart using the relegation loan option that former sports director Victor Orta had added to contracts when he signed with Bournemouth on deadline day in the summer.

The likes of Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson, Diego Llorente and others jumped ship like Sinisterra after relegation. He is just one illustration of how Bournemouth and Leeds conduct business during the summer months.

Tyler Adams and Jaidon Anthony as well, while the transfer fights for players like Karl Darlow and Max Aarons involved both Bournemouth and Leeds. This month, Leeds want a lot of Cherries stars.

There are rumours that Kieffer Moore, Chris Mepham, and David Brooks will be moving to Elland Road. But according to Dean Jones, it’s possible that Sinisterra will move to Yorkshire in the summer.Nisterra might make a summertime comeback to Leeds United.

It is evident from Angus Kinnear’s remarks after Sinisterra’s summer loan departure that hostility exists between the Whites and the attacker. Despite that, there are good reasons to keep him around.

He is undoubtedly a Premier League player with game-changing ability. Since recovering from his injury, he has contributed to three goals for Iraola’s team and was even a voting member for the December MOTD goal of the month.

That and the fact that Leeds paid a hefty sum of money—£21 million, to be exact— to acquire him from Feyenoord. It is currently improbable that Bournemouth will pay that much to retain him, or that we will make up the difference. With time, he may demonstrate it.

Leeds United promotion rivals dealt huge injury blow ahead of Leicester City showdown

Leeds United trails Ipswich Town in the Championship standings by seven points at the moment.

Boston Luongo’s ankle injury is a concern for Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna, who will be crossing his fingers. After defeating Sunderland’s challenge over the weekend, Ipswich is currently three points ahead of Southampton, their closest rivals in the Championship table.

Luongo was conspicuously absent from the Tractor Boys’ lineup for that particular game, though. Prior to missing Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough due to suspension, Luongo, who has already scored two goals this season, has only missed one league match.

McKenna confirmed after the game that the Australian international picked up an injury in training last week, but he could offer little more than that as he awaits scans.

McKenna stated that “he rolled his ankle in a really unfortunate incident on Thursday,” according to the East Anglian Daily Times. This week, he will undergo scans to determine the severity.

“Hopefully, it won’t be too bad. Though he wasn’t near it tonight, there is undoubtedly some swelling.”

The announcement will concern Ipswich fans, who have watched Southampton and Leeds United pull away from their team in recent weeks. The Suffolk team’s victory over Sunderland was their first league victory since mid-December, and this performance has significantly hurt them in the race for promotion.

The Tractor Boys, who were recently promoted from League One to the Championship, will take on league leaders Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in their next match. Since they will be without Sam Morsy due to suspension, they will be hoping that Luongo can recover in time to strengthen their midfield ranks in what could be a pivotal match at the top of the Championship table. On Monday, January 22, that game will take place, and Sky Sports will carry the live coverage.
