Ange Postecoglou, the Spurs manager, has Gallagher as one of his top midfield targets. There is growing talk that the Chelsea skipper might be a cash cow for the club even if he hasn’t signed a new contract with them.

If Chelsea chooses to sell, Tottenham will be first in line to sign Gallagher. In addition to Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner, who both signed terms with the North London team this month, Ange Postecoglou would also welcome the addition of a midfield player.

Conor Gallagher to Tottenham still not moving along yet

When it comes to Gallagher and the Spurs, Romano hinted that he is Ange Postecoglou’s primary target, but nothing is being done to close the deal just yet.

We will always have ties between Conor Gallagher and Tottenham, in my opinion, as Ange Postecoglou and the team adore him. I’m still hearing that they initiated some interactions in July or August to better understand the circumstances, and since the manager has always shown a great deal of appreciation for him, there appears to be interest. However, as of right now, I’ve been informed that no club to club or club to agency conversations have taken place to close the transaction. Tottenham is thrilled with the acquisitions they made, and Romano stated that in order to bring in a new midfield player, there must be an opening or a departure.

It is believed that Chelsea has to receive at least £45 million before considering selling Gallagher.

One to keep eyes on

It wouldn’t surprise anyone if the “fantastic” Gallagher ended up at Spurs in the end because this one just keeps coming up.

You would have thought that if Chelsea truly valued him, a new deal would have been arranged by now. However, something doesn’t seem quite right on their end.

Tottenham is going to keep pushing for this deal, you sense. There is still time and the possibility of a late deal exists with a few weeks remaining in January.
