Since then, the team has suffered an incredible amount of injuries to important players. Ange has managed to survive, but winning has become increasingly harder.
It appears that the North London team is now trying to provide Ange with the players he needs to perform to the best of his abilities as the season approaches its second half.
As such, the organisation has already brought in former Chelsea striker Timo Werner for the remainder of the season in order to fill in for Son’s absence this month and provide more depth to the front line’s central area.
Genoa CFC’s center-back Radu Dragusin is also set to be joining the club within the next 24 hours.
Spurs are now searching for possible midfielders to add to their roster to complete their incomings.
One name that has been making the rounds over the last several days is Hayden Hackney, 21. The Middlesbrough player is attracting interest from Manchester United and Liverpool as well. He helped his team win leg one of the Carabao Cup semi-finals against Chelsea 1-0.
Conor Gallagher has also been connected to a move to North London in recent months, but a possible move this summer may be postponed due to his recent price increase.
In order to gain the skills of Danish teenager Morten Frendrup, Tottenham may also go back to Genoa after finalising their agreement for Dragusin, according to Give Me Sport (via The Boy Hotspur).

Regardless of the player Spurs select, it’s safe to assume they’ll have a wealth of fresh talent at their disposal come game day when this transfer window closes.
Spurs’ transfer pursuit of Conor Gallagher simmers down
Conor Gallagher’s current market worth is reportedly a whooping £60 million, according to The Mirror (via Fox Sports). Chelsea is still open to selling the player this season, but it’s now highly doubtful that Spurs will make an approach.
Tottenham is now completing agreements to sign Timo Werner and, most likely, Radu Dragusin. They might also be trying to work in the wide portions of the pitch because of their past connections to attacking players like Rony Bardghji.In recent days, Loic Bade has also been brought up in the transfer discussion.
The budget for a player of Gallagher’s price tag is reasonable considering the quantity of players Spurs are trying to sign and the comparatively small, if any, outgoings planned for this month.
Gallagher has been discussed as a potential signing by Tottenham for months, but it appears the team will need to look elsewhere to strengthen the midfield.
Since Rodrigo Bentancur returned from his second big injury of the year, Spurs have had a huge boost in their midfield. Despite receiving inconsistent playing time at the beginning of the season, Giovani Lo Celso has also been fairly productive in his appearances this season.
Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr, Ange’s starters, will be absent this month due to their AFCON international commitments, so strengthening the midfield could be beneficial.
The players and supporters will be greatly relieved when James Maddison returns to the squad at some point in the upcoming month.
