Leeds United transfer news: Daniel Farke response to Luton left-back Ryan Giles shared
In response to rumours that Leeds United is interested in signing Ryan Giles, a left-back from Luton, during the January transfer window, Daniel Farke declined to comment.
The question was posed to him during the news conference by BBC journalist Adam Pope, but the German declined to be identified.
Rob Edwards, the manager of Luton, talked about him in general terms without getting into specifics about whether he will go.

Worth considering
Leeds needs a left-back badly, thus Giles’ possible transfer should be carefully considered during the January transfer window.
With Junior Firpo’s injury history and inconsistent play, the left-back position has taken precedence over other positions due to worries regarding the stability of the defence.
Further compounding the need for depth at the position is the fact that Djed Spence, who returned to Spurs, left, and Sam Byram, who is still recovering from an injury, might take some time to reach his best.
Giles shows himself to be a good alternative, particularly when on loan, giving Farke’s team instant flexibility and reinforcement.
The mystery is increased by Farke and Edwards’ reticence to provide specifics, which raises the possibility that talks are in progress.

Given the likelihood that they wouldn’t want three senior keepers at Elland Road, the club is probably being ready for any bids that might be made for Mesleir.
Since it was anticipated that the Frenchman will depart the team in the summer, it wouldn’t be shocking if some bids were made for him.
Dragowski would add plenty of experience after making 129 appearances in Seria A in his time with Spezia – alongside spells with Fiorentina and Empoli – before his current side dropped down to Italy’s second tier last season.
But there will almost certainly have to be some movement in the keeper department at the club first before he makes the move to West Yorkshire
