Robin Koch transfer update emerges from Sky Sports on Leeds United exit

According to Sky Sports Germany, Robin Koch is getting closer to leaving Leeds United permanently as Eintracht Frankfurt moves into the last phases of negotiations.

The Leeds centre back made an impression during his season-long loan at the German team, and the website stated [7 January] that Frankfurt is close to signing him on a free transfer till 2027.

Koch is reportedly highly interested in sticking with the team and making an impression in advance of Germany’s international matches in March. Dino Toppmoller has made him a regular in the first squad, and he is expected to leave Elland Road on a free transfer.

What a shame

The 27-year-old, along with Marc Roca, Brenden Aaronson, Diego Llorente, and Rasmus Kristensen, was among the few players to depart Elland Road following the Whites’ Premier League banishment the previous season.

Over the course of three seasons, he made 79 appearances for the Whites in all competitions and experienced some success in the top division of English football. Bringing the defender to the team, Marcelo Bielsa showed complete faith in him.

Koch started 36 of Leeds’ 38 league games throughout the challenging season, making him one of the team’s mainstays. However, in the summer of 2023, the defender decided to give up and fled to Germany. Additionally, it appears like the player made the appropriate choice.

There is no doubt about his ability on the pitch, starting 14 of Frankfurt’s 16 league games so far, helping the club to a sixth-place standing in the Bundesliga and qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League.

He has started 14 of Frankfurt’s 16 league games thus far, demonstrating his unquestionable skill on the field. Frankfurt has used this to its advantage, finishing sixth in the Bundesliga and advancing to the Europa Conference League knockout rounds.

After reportedly paying £12 million to join Leeds in 2020, the centre back’s departure on a free transfer will be devastating for the team. The German international has sadly not found success.

ever, the centre-back leaving on a free transfer will be a huge blow for Leeds, joining the club in 2020 for a reported £12million. Sadly, it has not worked out for the German international

SOURCES: LEEDS UNITED OPEN TO SELLING WINGER AS WEST HAM CONSIDER APPROACH

West Ham United may pursue Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto in January, but HITC Football knows that they will have competition from Serie A.

Last summer, Wilfried Gnonto appeared to be headed out of Leeds United, with reports indicating that Everton was keen. However, the Italian forward decided to stay with the team and has since shown promise for the Yorkshire side once more.

The Italian attacker, who appears to be a promising addition to the Yorkshire team, has only contributed one assist and one goal to Leeds’ 20 EFL Championship games.

Although the Yorkshire team was certain that the Italian forward wasn’t for sale in the summer, sources have revealed that they are now more willing to consider losing him this month. He participated in 36 of the Yorkshire team’s 38 Premier League games during the previous season, therefore his return might significantly increase Leeds’ chances of getting promoted back to the Premier League.
