‘Delighted’: £5m talent posts on Instagram after leaving Leeds United to join Premier League club

After switching from his boyhood club to City, Gorman posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram last month to Leeds and the team’s employees. A great chance that he feels he simply could not pass up.

In his most recent Instagram post, the England U16 star said he was “delighted” and included pictures of himself signing a contract while wearing Manchester City gear. Gorman was formally at City then.

It sees Gorman departing Leeds following months of rumours that he was on his way out. It also shows Leeds losing a gifted young player, but Leeds also receives a big cash infusion that could lead to reinvestment in the upcoming weeks.

Despite his immense talent, Gorman was still a long way from making the starting squad. City offers him the resources and the guidance to help him reach his full potential. Thus, this action can be advantageous to all sides.

Leeds, on the other hand, defeated Peterborough United 3-0 on Sunday to guarantee their spot in the FA Cup’s fourth round. Patrick Bamford scored the other goal, while Ethan Ampadu scored an improbable double:

‘Very close’… 27-year-old set to leave Leeds United on a permanent basis for European club

With his Elland Road contract ending in June, Robin Koch’s stint at Leeds United came to an end last summer when he left the team on loan for 2023–2024. Florian Plettenberg has since provided an update.

Koch, 27, departed Leeds in the summer after spending three years with the team. He was one of eight senior players to depart Leeds on loan as a result of Victor Orta’s relegation loan clause being added to contracts at Elland Road.

He signed with Frankfurt of the Europa Conference League in the hopes of returning to the German team in time for Euro 2024. Julian Nagelsmann, the manager of Germany, is undoubtedly intrigued by him.

In his 23 appearances, the former Freiburg player has assisted Frankfurt in keeping seven clean sheets while also scoring three goals for the Bundesliga team. This season, he has even led Frankfurt to multiple victories.

It was inevitable that Koch would leave Leeds permanently, and even more so that he would sign a contract with Frankfurt after the summer. Plettenberg of Sky Germany reports that an agreement to have Koch depart the country is almost complete.

Robin Koch very close to permanent Leeds United exit this month

It follows rumours that earlier this month said Frankfurt was preparing to sign the defender long-term following the summer. That appears to be the case, and Koch makes an impression.

Since he has performed so well in Frankfurt, it was always anticipated that he would leave us after his loan was over. Even if Leeds managed to be promoted. Marc Roca, Rasmus Kristensen, and Diego Llorente are also anticipated to depart.

However, it’s feasible that Max Wober, Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, and Jack Harrison—all of whom have been connected to a potential second stint at Elland Road—return to Leeds. Time will tell.
