After Charlie Cresswell, a defender, was linked to Blackburn Rovers, Daniel Farke did not rule out the possibility of his leaving.

The 21-year-old centre back has been mentioned as a possible January transfer target for Rovers. James Hill will be brought back by Bournemouth this month as the team looks to strengthen its defensive options.

In order to potentially replace Crewe, Rovers have activated the release clause for Connor O’Riordan. That would cost $50,000 to sign on as a permanent member.

Having battled for playing time at Leeds United, Cresswell has been mentioned as an additional possible choice. The guardian

signed a long-term contract in the summer at Elland Road, and any agreement would probably be a loan.

The youthful defender did not make the matchday roster for Leeds’ victory over Birmingham City on New Year’s Day. Farke stated that he was eager for more innovation, which is why he benched Cresswell in favour of Poveda.

The manager then addressed queries regarding Cresswell’s future after he made an impression when on loan at Millwall the previous campaign. The Leeds manager stressed that the team is not actively trying to let the player depart, but that they will speak with the player to determine the best course of action.
