FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING, JOHAN LANGE COULD NOW BANK A TRANSFER TO TOTTENHAM THAT IS “EXCITING.”

Although it has been five years since Roony Bardghji was put on trial by the club, Tottenham Hotspur is still in the running to sign the Copenhagen winger.

We could expect to see some action from Tottenham Hotspur during the upcoming January transfer window.Finding a centre back to provide depth behind standout centre backs Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero will be the first objective.

However, there is an interesting story that surfaced this week suggesting Ange Postecoglou may still be looking for attacking potential.

Tottenham has reportedly held contact with Copenhagen winger Rony Bardghji’s intermediaries, according to 90min.

Spurs are reportedly a “big suitor” for Bardghji and appear to be Chelsea’s main rival in the fight for his signature, according to BT in Denmark.

Four years ago, Roony Bardghji was a trialist for Tottenham.

In an attempt to win the race for Bardghji, Tottenham may draw on past experiences with the winger.

When he was barely 13 years old in the 2018–19 season, the wonderkid from Kuwait actually had a trial with Tottenham.

Bardghji really discussed his experience at Tottenham and how much he enjoyed being on trial there in an interview with Pojk Football.

“I am really happy with my Tottenham trial,” Bardghji remarked. I did well, that’s why. I scored three goals and provided two assists in our 6-1 victory over Ipswich. For me, it was an excellent experience. I had the chance to witness the level of proficiency required to achieve success,” he continued.

Bardghji was not ultimately signed by Tottenham.

The Bardghji chase may depend on Johan Lange.

After leaving rival Premier League team Aston Villa, Lange recently joined Tottenham as the technical director.

Having served as a technical director, development director, and coach in Copenhagen, the Dane has deep connections to the city.

Furthermore, former Copenhagen manager Stale Solbakken claimed that Lange was the impetus behind bringing Bardghji to Copenhagen.

Prior to Bardghji and his family committing to Copenhagen, Lange flew to Malmo, according to a statement made by Solbakken to BT.

Only weeks before departing for Villa, Lange was praised for his “persistent” efforts to sign Bardghji.

Given his quality and the 11 goals he has already scored this season, Bardghji’s interest from Tottenham makes perfect sense.

A major impression is being made by Bardghji, who is being praised as “exciting” by Peter Christiansen, the sporting director of Copenhagen.
