Despite being only 22 years old, an attacker worth £50 million scoring just one goal in half a season is really not good enough, and he needs to do better.

Although you have to give new players some leeway because it takes them some time to adjust to their surroundings and settle in, Johnson is Spurs’ most expensive summer addition at £50 million. To be honest, though, you would probably argue that he was the worst acquisition the North London club made during the previous transfer window.

While players such as Guglielmo Vicario, Micky Van de Ven, and James Maddison have adapted well, Johnson hasn’t done the same for some reason.
