Sky Sports pundit: Leeds could lose ‘Majestic’ star in January after stunner v Swansea

According to Tom Cairney, Crysencio Summerville of Leeds United might leave in January following his performance on Wednesday, November 29, against Swansea City.

The Fulham midfielder described the 22-year-old as “majestic” during his appearance on Sky Sports’ Soccer Special on Wednesday at 10:09 p.m., as he assisted the Whites in a 3-1 victory over the Swans.

He went on to say that the Dutch winger, along with Blackburn Rovers midfielder Sammie Szmodics, who leads the Championship in scoring this year, has been the “player of the season.”

“Summerville was majestic,” said Cairney. “I think he’s been the player of the season, maybe him and Szmodics. I tell you what, they might struggle to hold onto him in January, but we’ll see.”

Have to keep him

Without a doubt, Summerville has had an incredible start to the Leeds season in the first few months.

The winger gives the Whites’ attack a unique touch, and when they’re attempting to penetrate an opposition defence, he’s the main source of inspiration.

After opting to stay at Elland Road during the summer transfer window, he has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 15 games this season.

It is imperative that the club manages to hold onto him because there will undoubtedly be a lot of interest in signing him again in January.

In order for his team to contend for promotion back to the Premier League, Daniel Farke will understand how important it is for them to hold onto him until at least the end of the current campaign.

Tom Cairney stunned by ‘electric’ Crysencio Summerville in Leeds United clash v Swansea City

On Wednesday, November 29, Tom Cairney was blown away by Crysencio Summerville’s “electric” performance during Leeds United vs. Swansea City.

Daniel Farke’s team overcame a 1-0 deficit to win 3-1 at Elland Road thanks to goals from Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter, and Dan James. Jamie Paterson’s opening-minute strike did not ultimately come back to haunt the Whites.

Even though the Scotsman was unable to record a point due to Summerville’s “havoc” with the ball, Fulham star Cairney was amazed by the Dutchman’s performance.

On November 29, 20:02, he stated in an interview with Sky Sports Soccer Special, “It’s literally all him, just get the ball to Summerville, he’s at the top of his game, he’s just full of confidence, he’s razor sharp.” “They simply cannot live with him, and his first five yards are electric.” He is creating chaos, so please get the ball to him right away. It’s not even close to being a Leeds team—I’m not even kidding—going forward, it’s essentially a one-man show. He is the biggest, and it has been fun to watch.

Causing havoc

“Creaking havoc” is a good way to sum up Summerville’s performance over the past few months. There aren’t many players in the Championship who are as explosive as the Dutch winger, who has been playing for Leeds United this season.

On Wednesday, he threatened Swansea every time he got the ball, and Michael Duff’s defenders were unable to handle his fast feet when handling the ball. Keeping Summerville healthy and productive could be crucial for Leeds if they hope to have a successful season and make it back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Defenders across England’s second tier have been unable to work out how to stop Summerville from causing them problems from the left flank. No matter what they do the Dutchman manages to find space and create plenty of chances for his teammates and himself in the final third.

With his assist in the half on Wednesday, the 22-year-old registered his 14th goal involvement of the campaign in just his 15th appearance. If he continues to maintain this excellent form, he won’t only be the first name on the Whites’ teamsheet, but will also be a target for clubs in the Premier League
