Tanguy Ndombele has made it known to the club that he will not be leaving through the back door and that he is eager to establish himself at Galatasaray, according to Sabah.
We distributed a report from Milliyet during the international break, stating that Okan Buruk, the manager of Galatasaray, had ‘a special meeting’ with Ndombele. Buruk had previously been displeased with the player’s lack of fitness and attitude.

It was revealed that after Buruk emphasised to the 26-year-old his belief in his potential, the player improved in the training environment.

The Tottenham player on loan then played the full ninety minutes for the Istanbul team on Saturday, as they defeated Alanyaspor 4-0 at home. He then played an additional hour in the Champions League match against Manchester United.

Ndombele says he will not be leaving Galatasaray

After speaking with Buruk, Ndombele reportedly lost 3.5 kg to reach his “ideal weight” of 81 kg. Sabah has since stated that Ndombele is eager to “recover as soon as possible.”

The claim is that the former Lyon player made it very evident to the Galatasaray manager that he intended to remain at RAMS Park.Buruk and the club’s management are said to have heard Ndombele say, “I will not leave, I will show myself and stay in the team.”

The midfield player intends to establish himself in the starting eleven and will aim to demonstrate his skills in the forthcoming matches, according to the outlet.

It is hard to be anything but pessimistic about Ndombele’s chances of turning his career around given the number of false dawns that have occurred with him over the years. Over the upcoming weeks, we’ll find out if the Frenchman’s realisation has truly come to pass this time.

Spurs have made “manoeuvres” to sign £15m man likened to Wijnaldum

Spurs have been pursuing an international player for £15 million, who has been compared to Georginio Wijnaldum, behind closed doors. There is now a new target in sight.

Ange could be left short in Spurs midfield

In addition to dealing with the current injury crisis in his squad, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou faces the very real risk of having a deficiency in midfield come January 1.

Rodrigo Bentancur may be sidelined until February due to an ankle ligament injury, but Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma will be travelling to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

The commentator says that Ange would be a great fit for his style.

In addition, Postecoglou might soon find himself without many options in the middle of the park due to the absence of James Maddison, who is anticipated to return in January but has not stated when.

Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed that Spurs are not in favour of approving Pierre-Emile Hojberg’s loan move, possibly due to Postecoglou’s lack of players. Following Postecoglou’s recent lamentation of his team’s bad luck with fitness issues, reports now state that Tottenham is targeting a central midfield player in January (The Guardian).

“It wasn’t a great tackle,” said Postecoglou on Bentancur’s injury“I thought he started the game so well and I think it was the reason we got a real good foothold on the game. He’s such a creative player. It’s the last thing we needed, another injury. So disappointed to lose him but we’re yet to see the extent of it.”

In addition, Spurs have been tipped to acquire a forward and a new center-back, which they are still keen to do. However, given Bentancur’s most recent issue and a few more impending absences, perhaps more midfielders are needed.

Tottenham make “manoeuvres” for El Khannouss

Corriere dello Sport, an Italian newspaper, reports (via Sport Witness) that the north Londoners are now reportedly making moves behind the scenes to acquire a new transfer target.Spurs are making “manoeuvres” to acquire Bilal El Khannouss from Genk. At the moment, the young midfield player is exhibiting great promise in the Jupiler Pro League.

Throughout his 67 games across all competitions since being called up to the first squad in 2022, El Khannouss has recorded four goals and seven assists. Tottenham would consider this a very reasonable price to pay for luring the Morocco international, who could also fetch around £15 million from Genk.

Football Transfers has reported that El Khannouss plays in a manner similar to Wijnaldum’s. That’s a pretty tantalising comparison, considering the Dutchman’s previous star role for former club Liverpool.

Speaking in 2022, Dimitri De Condé, the technical director of Genk, praised the 19-year-old’s potential, calling him a true “pleasure to watch” when performing at the highest level.
