Postecoglou is reportedly eager to add a winger to the team to strengthen that position in light of the injuries to Richarlison, Perisic, and Solomon.
Spurs have reportedly expressed interest in Juventus prodigy Samuel Iling-Junior and Al-Ittihad winger Jota as a result, but Sky Sports reports that a new player has entered the picture.
Spurs look at signing Johan Bakayoko
The journalist Lyall Thomas of the broadcast behemoth claims that Tottenham is keen to sign Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven.
While there isn’t much more to offer than Spurs’ obvious affection for the player, it is evident why sporting director Johan Lange has his sights set on Bakayoko. The Dutchman is also a target for Brentford.
According to Sky, he has been outstanding for PSV in the Champions League thus far this season, scoring against RC Lens and dishing out another assist in four group matches.
With six assists in the Eredivisie already, the 20-year-old seems to have a promising future. Former PSV manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has referred to the attacker as a “dominant” player (ESPN via livefootballontv)..
