BBC pundit buzzing at “great” Leeds news he’s heard out of Elland Road
Leeds is in a strong position as they aim to get promoted.
According to BBC analyst Carlton Palmer, Leeds United is a formidable force in the Championship and may soon receive a significant boost off the pitch in relation to one of their key players.
Leeds United’s impressive recent form…
Leeds United lost six of their last seven league games. Since being relegated the previous season, the team has stabilised somewhat and is playing some excellent football in the English second division.Based on the data available, Daniel Farke was a wise choice when he was appointed by the Leeds United administration. He will be looking to better his team’s current third-place standing in the league after they had taken 31 points from their first 16 games.
On Friday night, after their return from international service, the Whites fly to the AESSEAL New York Stadium to play Rotherham United. Their goal is to reduce the eight-point lead held by second-place Ipswich Town to five points before the round of games this weekend.
Leeds United’s away match against South Yorkshire will feature players who may or may not be able to return to action, including Pascal Struijk, Stuart Dallas, Jamie Shackleton, Joe Gelhardt, Djed Spence, and Sam Byram. Leeds Live has been able to provide more information on this.
All parties involved hoped that the four formers would eventually resume their training. Simultaneously, previous Norwich City full-back Byram was substituted due to a hamstring injury during the Whites’ victory over Plymouth Argyle prior to the international break.
With a busy schedule ahead of them, Leeds United is hoping to stay up with the teams vying for promotion. They may now get a significant lift from one of their leading players.

Carlton Palmer drops Archie Gray verdict
Radio pundit Palmer of the BBC shared some great news about Leeds United star Archie Grey that he had learned from Elland Road with Football League World.
Grey and Premier League powerhouse Liverpool have been linked in recent reports to a lucrative transfer. The 17-year-old midfielder is reportedly a target for Everton and Crystal Palace, according to The Daily Mail.
In response to reports that Leeds United may be about to begin contract negotiations with Archie Grey, Palmer told the publication, “We are confident that Archie Grey, our 17-year-old prodigy, will commit his future to the club, despite interest from top clubs at home and abroad.”
“The young man now faces a whopping £30–40 million price tag from Leeds. However, Grey has indicated to the club that he is happy where he is and wants to continue his football education at Leeds United under Daniel Farke, which is a huge boost for the team in their quest to regain their Premier League status once again. For the manager, the team, and the supporters, this is wonderful news.”
Keeping Grey at Elland Road would be a huge benefit for everyone associated with Leeds United. Grey made 17 appearances for the club in all competitions in 2023–2024. He appears to have a bright future in the game. Grey statistical data from Transfermarkt
