‘It’s embarrassing’: Gabby Agbonlahor can’t believe what PL player has been saying about £60m Tottenham man

Talking on remarks Antonio had made on the “Footballer’s Football Podcast,” Agbonlahor went on talkSPORT.

Antonio’s criticism of Richardson’s goal scoring record, in the pundit’s opinion, was disgraceful considering his own lack of goals this season.

Furthermore, he bemoaned Antonio’s remarks and brought up a scene from West Ham’s loss to Brentford the day before.

The fact that Antonio was criticizing Tottenham’s Richardson when he was still performing for the team bothered Agbonlahor a little.

“He [Antonio] is on a podcast every week talking about how he’s desperate for goals, and he was sliding in because he’s desperate for goals, because he wants to talk about it on his podcast next weekend,” the speaker stated.

“Yes, it is embarrassing.”

Agbonlahor went on, “You can’t be coming for Richarlison while you’re not scoring goals for yourself.

“Callum Wilson is putting in goals and scoring goals, so I don’t mind.

But Antonio, you’re not supporting it.

Agbonlahor wasn’t happy with Antonio’s criticism of Richarlison at Tottenham

At Spurs, Richarlison’s goal total is still very low, but his play has been getting better.

The Brazilian is currently showing obvious improvement in a more flexible and positive side, similar to many others under Ange Postecoglou.

But now that he’s in the starting lineup against Chelsea tomorrow, Brendan Johnson is seriously pressing for Richarlison’s position.

Whichever the case, Spurs supporters will undoubtedly believe that the £60 million Riley doesn’t currently merit criticism, particularly at this point in his development.

Fans of Tottenham will also be happy to see the words reflected, even though Agbonhalor took issue with Antonio’s remarks rather than with Richarlison’s critique.

In addition, they believe that all eyes will be on Monday’s matchup against their fierce rivals Chelsea.

Considering the players Mauricio Pochettino is bringing with him, he is probably going to meet with a cold reception back in North London.

We might be in for a highly heated affair if previous encounters give any indication.
