As it is believed that Tottenham Hotspur is keeping an eye on Celtic striker Yogo Furuhashi, Ange Postecoglou is focusing on the Scottish market.

Postecoglou wants Tottenham to be well aware of players in Scotland, according to The Sun.

Only this summer did Postecoglou depart Scottish football, leaving Celtic to accept the Tottenham position.

The Australian is still interested in learning about all of the best players, including one of his old Celtic teammates, who play north of the line.

The Sun claim Ian Broomfield, a scout for Tottenham, was dispatched to Scotland for a four-day reconnaissance expedition.

The Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi is believed to have been observed by Broomfield in action.

From the moment Postecoglou relocated to North London, Kyogo was bound to be associated with Tottenham.

Postecoglou, who was mesmerized by Kyogo’s goal-scoring prowess for Vissel Kobe in Japan, recruited him to Celtic in the summer of 2021.

Though Kyogo’s skill is something the Spurs manager scarcely needs reminded of, it seems the team is keeping an eye on him in case they decide to make a move for the Celtic star.

Perhaps out of consideration for the Bhoys, Postecoglou avoided the urge to use the summer transfer window to raid his old club.

But, things might be different in 2024 because Kyogo is now being considered to bolster Tottenham’s offensive line.

Although Kyogo, a natural striker described as a “wonderful talent” by Kenny Dalglish, may be welcomed, Son Heung-min has been playing well up top.

A trustworthy source also mentioned a few days ago that Postecoglou would like to bring Celtic player Matt O’Riley to Tottenham.

Although there is no chance of a second Tottenham raid in January, these Tottenham rumors may have Celtic on high alert.
