‘Highest level’: Guglielmo Vicario says Tottenham have a 20-year-old who’s absolutely brilliant
Guglielmo Vicario has praised his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Destiny Udogie, saying the young player is ideal for playing football in the Premier League.
The goalie called Udogie his “little bother” at Tottenham in an interview with the Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb.
Victorio and Udogie have both had a significant impact on the Spurs thus far this season.
After initially arriving from Udinese last summer and spending the season on loan at his previous club, Udogie eventually bonded with his Tottenham colleagues.
Vicario also thinks Udogie has all the qualities necessary to succeed as a professional footballer in England.
Vicario says Udogie is perfect for Premier League football
After a successful debut at Tottenham, Vicario lavished praise on Udogie in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.
“Udogie is my little brother, he has physical and technical qualities of the highest level, he has explosive athleticism and fits like a glove for what is the Premier League,” he said.
“In the locker room we use the Italian language. There are fantastic guys who work to do better and better and to get great satisfaction.
“On the English language… I’ve always tried to study it during the school period and there are always some classmates on the field with whom you can have a conversation and keep it alive.”
It is difficult to disagree with Vicario’s evaluation of Udogie’s performance as a full-back given his past displays when wearing a Spurs shirt.
Although he did not play in Tottenham’s victory against Crystal Palace last week, the Italy international has started all of his other Premier League matches.
In the battle to be fit for Spurs’ crucial match against Chelsea on Monday, you can imagine that Ange Postecoglou will be itching for him to play a role.
