Spurs star wants to leave after contract discussions break down

With a victory over Newcastle United on Saturday, Ange Postecoglou’s team might go up to two points ahead of the Lilywhites, who are now two points ahead of their North London opponents.

Chelsea, on the other hand, has had a challenging season thus far and is presently ranked eleventh in the top division.

Given that one of Spurs’ most seasoned players is rumored to desire to depart, it seems that the team may not have had the best pregame preparation.

Eric Dier, a defender, is eager to quit the team after negotiations for a new deal broke down, according to a trustworthy source.

Throughout all competitions, the England international has made 360 appearances for Tottenham since joining the team back in 2014.

Dier has not yet appeared in a game for Tottenham this season.

However, since Postecoglou’s arrival during the summer, he has lost favor and hasn’t played for the Australian team yet.

According to the report, the defender’s contract negotiations broke down, and he now want to leave Tottenham.

Most importantly, though, it is alleged that Dier wants to quit the team instead of being transferred in the January transfer window and instead sign as a free agent next summer.

Dier would prefer to wait until the summer, when he would probably have more choices available to him, but Tottenham would be open to hearing bids for the player when the transfer window reopens in the new year.

More than half of Spurs’ games this season have seen the 30-year-old left off the starting lineup; Postecoglou has favored Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in center defense.

At the end of the current season, his contract is set to expire, and it looks as though he will be leaving North London after nearly ten years with the team.

‘A terrific talent’: Alasdair Gold says 18-year-old Tottenham player could be fast tracked at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur currently has several excellent young players on its roster.

Future stars like Jamie Donley, Mikey Moore, and Ashley Phillips appear to be in their prime, but Alasdair Gold says there’s another young defender who might soon be contributing to the first team.

Alfie Dorrington, 18, might be fast-tracked at Spurs next season with either a loan or perhaps an enhanced involvement at first team level, according to Gold, who made this prediction while speaking on his YouTube channel. Gold believes that Alfie Dorrington will eventually become a star at Tottenham.

Dorrington could be fast tracked

What Gold knows about the adolescent was disclosed.

My vote is for Alfie Dorrington. Whenever I’ve watched Dorrington, he has always amazed me. He has pleased me more than Ashley Phillips in the U21 games I’ve watched when they’ve both played, I’ll be honest,” Gold said.

“Dorrington is an incredible center-back, and his talent will allow him to either be quickly promoted to the first team or play a bigger role starting in the upcoming season.”

Exciting

To put it mildly, this is quite thrilling.

Dorrington seems like a gifted player who might have an influence at Tottenham in the future, and he’s not the only young center-back who has the potential to be a star there.

Naturally, Micky Van de Ven is already making a lot of money, but let’s also remember that Ashley Phillips is expected to go far and that Luka Vuskovic will soon be in north London.

One of the most fascinating aspects about Tottenham right now is their stable of youthful center backs, which is saying something for a team that is dominating the Premier League.
