‘Could change’: Fabrizio Romano suggests Leeds player could perform u-turn in the ‘next few weeks’

The Dutch player may opt to reconsider his mind in the upcoming weeks, according to Fabrizio Romano, who told Caught Offside that Leeds United star Cree Summerville made the decision to remain at Elland Road in the summer.

For Leeds this season, Summerville—who turned 22 this week—has been outstanding. With six goals and four assists for his teammates, the Dutch flyer has 10 goals and 10 assists in 11 Championship games.

Before the two matches in November against Gibraltar and Ireland, Voetbal International reporter Suleyman Ozturk is pleading with Ronald Koeman to call Summerville up to the senior Netherlands squad due to his impressive form.

Leeds would make every effort to keep Summerville at Elland Road before the January window, Dean Jones said this week in an interview with Give Me Sport. Summerville, according to Romano, decided to remain in Leeds throughout the summer.

As he has done recently, he claims that Burnley, Bournemouth, and Everton shown interest. The Italian journalist adds that Summerville might make a U-turn and decide to change his mind, though.

Leeds star Cree Summerville could change mind after staying

That would be a devastating blow. But it would also be somewhat unexpected. Summerville has been brilliant for Leeds and is driving us closer to promotion, so why the abrupt change of heart when he chose to stay? If, that is, he decides to go. It is possible that, in January, Summerville’s form will make a new list of clubs interested. He really has been amazing. But why go when he could end up a hero on Elland Road?

Summerville must be kept on board if Daniel Farke is to lead Leeds to promotion. We are pushing for an immediate comeback, and he is scoring and setting up the goals. Next up is Leicester, a huge match.
