‘I’m not changing my mind’: Alan Shearer predicts who’s winning the Premier League this season

Now, three teams—Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur—have been identified by Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker as contenders for the league championship.Along with Micah Richards, Shearer and Lineker were debating their Premier League predictions on “The Rest Is Football Podcast.”

Gary Lineker said Arsenal and Tottenham were appropriately included, despite Shearer’s unwillingness to compromise on City.

“I’m not changing my mind,” Shearer declared at the outset. City, I uttered.

Lineker then added his commentary, saying, “Of course, I chose Arsenal.

“Mostly because just one of you two was able to say “City,” and the rest of us

However, they are there, right next to them, and it’s that Tottenham is competing for the title—certainly a top four spot—and that they are performing far better than they had predicted.

Naturally, it’s perhaps a little unfair that Liverpool was left out of the conversation.

A four-horse race, which hasn’t occurred in a while, looks to be in store for fans this season.

Despite Shearer’s omission of Arsenal and Tottenham, he must believe that they are closely pursuing City.

Shearer still thinks City will pip Arsenal and Tottenham to the title

Naturally, among the three previously mentioned, Ernst Haaland might ultimately be the deciding factor.

Although the same cannot always be true for the teams in North London, Manchester City boasts a world-class goal scorer.

That being said, Son Heung-Min is now doing a fantastic job at Tottenham taking Harry Kane’s goals.

One of Ian Wright’s current favorite players, he acknowledges.

Nonetheless, Arsenal does not currently have a player who can regularly score 20 goals per season.

Despite having several excellent qualities, Gabriel Jesus hasn’t shown that he can score goals consistently.

In addition, Alan Shearer continues to have concerns about Eddie Nketiah’s capacity to set the tone for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal and Tottenham both need to think they have a real chance, even though Shearer notes that City are still the clear favorites to win the championship.
