Confirmed: Crysencio Summerville update shared as three ruled out for Leeds United clash v Huddersfield Town
Crysencio Summerville will be available for Leeds United’s match against Huddersfield on Saturday, according to Daniel Farke, but three players are out.
Summerville has been playing with shoulder strapping and painkillers in recent weeks, and Farke revealed after the game that he left him out of the team for the midweek loss to Stoke.
Farke anticipates that he will be fit to play in the Yorkshire derby at Elland Road, although he will still be without defenders Stuart Dallas, Junior Firpo, Leo Hjelde, and Djed Spence.
“I’m sure in a few weeks he will be able to play three games in a week, but after the start to the season he has had [fitness-wise] we have to be careful,” he said. “But I wouldn’t say he’s a doubt for tomorrow.
“There are always a few knock and kicks after the game and with a quick turnaround you always have to make some less decisions.
“But what I can confirm, everyone [from midweek] is available yes.”
Make a stand
Daniel Farke has an opportunity to show his team that he supports the guys who performed well in midweek despite the loss.
Ethan Ampadu and Archie Gray appeared worn out, but Ilia Gruev looked strong, so the management shouldn’t worry about resting players and switching things up again.
In order to bring in some new blood and boost squad morale, the manager shouldn’t be afraid to bench players like Charlie Cresswell or Liam Cooper. Luke Ayling and Crysencio Summerville are also prepared to return to the lineup.
Having said that, he is well aware of his ideal lineup and will select the strongest team possible to face Huddersfield at Elland Road in order to avenge the loss to Stoke.
The manager should be free to use our talented group anytime he wants to without worrying about performance levels declining because we have a strong roster.
