‘Best player in the league’: Ross McCormack admits he’s ‘fed up’ raving about 21-year-old Leeds star

Ross McCormack admits he’s ‘fed up’ raving about 21-year-old Leeds United star

After a thrilling 3-2 victory yesterday, Leeds shared a video message from the player, who is 21 years old, on Instagram.

With Leeds’ poor performance at Carrow Road, Daniel Farke would have been dissatisfied.

He went back to his old team in the hopes of leaving with three points, but he had to hold out until the very end to secure a crucial win.

Before a formation change helped Leeds’s performance, Shane Duffy and Gabriel Sara had given the hosts a 2-0 advantage at the half.

Just after the hour mark, Duffy scored into his own goal, and Norwich sat back and let the visitors to apply pressure.

The player who made Norwich pay was Crysencio Summerville, who scored two outstanding goals—one in the 77th minute to tie the score and one with five minutes remaining to complete a remarkable single effort. The Leeds winger is currently praised by Ross McCormack, who thinks he is the league’s best player.

Right now, given the performance he gave yesterday, it’s difficult to argue against him.

McCormack sends Summerville message after Leeds win

After a tremendous victory for Daniel Farke’s team, Summerville was seen in a club post on Instagram congratulating the visiting supporters.

I’m tired of telling you, McCormack replied. Among the league’s top players.

From a player who might have held that distinction to another, it’s a compliment.

When McCormack left Elland Road for Fulham in 2014, the club paid £11 million for his services. McCormack was outstanding while playing for Elland Road.

Leeds might have believed that if McCormack had departed in the summer, they could have gotten a figure for Summerville that was even higher than what they received for McCormack.

Multiple teams were interested at one stage, and a £20 million valuation was floated; nonetheless, it appears to have been a prudent choice to keep him at the club.

If he wants to help Leeds earn a fast return to the Premier League, Summerville will be crucial this season.

He wasn’t the only player to stand out yesterday, but with a brilliant late brace, he grabbed the spotlight.
