Fulham boss Silva confirms Tete injury blow

Right-back Kenny Tete may not return to the field for a longer period of time than anticipated due to a groin injury, according to Fulham manager Marco Silva.

The injury occurred in the closing seconds of the 1-0 victory against Luton last month, forcing the Dutch defender to miss two games.

Though Silva has said it currently appears improbable, it was hoped that Tete would be able to start playing right after the international break next week.

“Let’s see, Kenny is taking longer than we anticipated to move his groin. We’ll continue to evaluate him, Silva said.

“We have to watch him week by week and day by day to determine if he is improving.

Let’s see when he returns. Today, he was working with (performance manager) Bruno Mendes on injury recuperation.

Adama Traore and Tosin Adarabioyo are still out for Fulham as they recuperate from hamstring injuries and groin surgeries, respectively.

“Adama will be another three weeks, but he will be back before Tosin,” Silva said.

Injury News: Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr resumes training before Fulham showdown

After Pape Matar Sarr was spotted using an ice pack on his foot while performing for Senegal during the international break in October, there were a lot of questions about him.

With nine games played across competitions, Sarr has been one of the surprises of the season under Ange Postecoglou. He has also been playing frequently.

A lot of good has come to the Senegal international as a result of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s decline in popularity. Therefore, individuals in N17 would have been alarmed by Sarr’s possible injury issue while serving overseas.

Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur interact.

The 21-year-old midfielder, though, reportedly resumed training on Wednesday (18 October), according to the Evening Standard. And the news can only be positive.

Sarr could feature vs Fulham

Due to the Monday Premier League matchup versus Fulham, our players will have extra time to recover after their international break. Additionally, we are playing at home against a team that is predicted to lose, at least that is what the supporters hope to believe.

So, there’s no need to take any unnecessary chances in this situation. It appears that Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min will also play against the Cottagers.

Overall, we don’t appear to have suffered much, if any, harm as a result of the international break. However, at least it didn’t result in any significant losses for us, despite the fact that it did arrive at a bothersome moment, as James Maddison noted.

Our midfield will be extremely strong once Rodrigo Bentancur makes his long-term knee injury from last season’s match return. Sarr’s tenure at Tottenham looks to only get better, at least for the time being.

Under the Greek-Australian boss, he is a young player who is learning and receiving lots of playing time. He also started Senegal’s 1-0 wins over Cameroon and Algeria this month, establishing himself as a reliable starter for the team.
