Report: Tottenham interested in signing duo from PL side in January
When it comes to the January transfer window, Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace are reportedly of interest to Tottenham Hotspur.
Eric Dier is the only senior center back that Ange Postecoglou could use if Cristian Romero or Micky van de Ven go hurt. Tottenham’s problems at center back are well known, and Dier is the only one who can play at the highest level.
Unsurprisingly, recent sources have suggested that acquiring a center-back for Spurs and their new technical director, Johan Lange, in January is one of their top objectives (CaughtOffisde).
Spurs move for Eze and Guehi would be expensive
Guehi, who has had a good start to the season and has been a fixture in Gareth Southgate’s England squads, is one of the names on Tottenham’s radar, if Fichajes’ most recent update is to be believed.
According to the source, the 23-year-old is a desirable target for Spurs and other Premier League clubs because of his prowess in duals and ball control.According to the newspaper, Ange Posteocglou’s crew is also keeping an eye on his buddy Eze.
However, the article also notes that Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are keeping an eye on the Palace combination in addition to Tottenham.
According to Fichajes, if any ‘interesting offers’ for Guehi and Eze come their way in January, the Eagles will take them into consideration.
Since it appeared that the club wanted to sign one of the two in the summer, I believe Tottenham’s interest in Eze would have waned after we were able to finalize a deal for Brennan Johnson.
There is little question that Guehi will make a significant move sooner rather than later, and if not in January, then next summer, I anticipate a bidding war to break out for the 23-year-old.
