We have shared many reports over the past few weeks that have emphasized the likelihood of Jota and Ange Postecoglou rejoining at Spurs.

This includes a TEAMtalk update from October 4 that claimed Tottenham are currently in the lead to sign the winger after he was forced out of the Al-Ittihad lineup because the club had exceeded the allotted number of international players.

It was stated that the Portuguese player’s agents are putting a lot of effort into finding their client a new club and that they have been spotted at several of Tottenham’s games this season, including the North London Derby two weeks ago.

Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon’s injuries, according to CaughtOffside’s report from last week, made it necessary for Spurs to acquire a third winger, with Jota at the top of their list of targets.

Tottenham could make loan request for Jota

The Premier League is reportedly showing “strong” interest in Jota, according to SpotMediaSet, which also noted that Tottenham is reportedly also interested in the youngster.

The source even goes so far as to say that Spurs “want to ask” Al-Ittihad about signing the 24-year-old on a loan.

In light of the fact that there would be a plethora of interest in the former Celtic player’s talents, I fail to see why the Saudi club would choose to loan Jota out in January as opposed to selling him permanently and recovering the money they paid.

Despite putting up some excellent numbers for what at times was a struggling Leicester City team over the past several years, Maddison’s talent was never in question. However, the midfielder has unquestionably raised his level of play since joining Spurs.

The 26-year-old has swiftly established himself as one of Ange Postecoglou’s team’s key offensive players, and his performances have been a major factor in Tottenham’s dominance in the Premier League.

Prior to his arrival at Spurs, I was unaware of how good Maddison’s feet were and how press-resistant he was. Ange Postecoglou has allowed him the license to dive deep to catch the ball, and the 26-year-old always seems to have an image of his surroundings in his head.
