Tottenham have ‘firm intention’ of signing €40m attacker who ‘fits perfectly’ into Postecoglou’s system

Tottenham ‘taking a keen interest’ in signing highly-rated Brazilian midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Brazilian midfielder Luis Guilherme.

According to a report from 90 Minutes, Spurs are “taking a keen interest” in the 17-year-old central midfielder and may try to make a deal for him soon.

The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs keeping an eye on the player, so they are not the only ones that are interested in him. With a promising future ahead of him, Guilherme enjoys high regard throughout Brazil. If Tottenham were to be successful in obtaining his services, he might grow into a respectable long-term potential.

The 17-year-old is already a member of Palmeiras’ first team, and if the best Premier League clubs approach him in the following transfer windows, he may be persuaded to leave. Most football players find the chance to play in England to be a desirable choice, and it’s possible that the Brazilian would find the thought of competing in the premier league appealing.

In the upcoming seasons, Tottenham may benefit from having a great central midfielder, especially if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is traded.

Guilherme has everything it takes to succeed in English football, despite the fact that he might not be instantly ready for the Premier League. Tottenham might also be able to sign him now, before the price skyrockets due to hype, for a fair amount.

If he succeeds in realizing his potential at the north London club, the midfielder might end up being a steal for Tottenham in the long run. At Celtic, Ange Postecoglou performed a commendable job of developing young talent, and he may assist the 17-year-old Brazilian midfielder in realizing his enormous potential as well.

It will be intriguing to see whether Tottenham can oust Manchester United and Chelsea from the race for his services.

ESPN pundit blown away by £15m Spurs player who barely stood out before this season

When he first saw Destiny Udogie playing for Udinese, Don Hutchison did not consider the Tottenham Hotspur left-back to be a standout player. However, Hutchison has been astonished by the manner Udogie has started this season.

In addition to the Spurs defense, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, and Son Heung-min made Hutchison’s Premier League team of the season thus far, which he announced on ESPN.

After the summer 2022 transfer window, Destiny Udogie was largely forgotten by Spurs supporters. A £15 million initial signing bonus was given to the 20-year-old. He did, however, spend a brief period on loan with Udinese before moving to North London.

The anticipation for this campaign may have been modest. He wasn’t a part of Ange Postecoglou’s signing. He is also a relatively new player. Giving him a chance would thus have required bravery.

Destiny Udogie has made an outstanding start to Premier League career

Thankfully, Postecoglou has no qualms about taking a risk. And he has complete faith in the Italian. It goes without saying that such trust has been handsomely repaid.

Udogie has excelled for Tottenham. And Don Hutchison selected him for his Premier League side of the current season.

“Udogie, I think, has been amazing,” he told ESPN.

“I saw him when he was at Udinese quite a few times. And I thought he was good, wasn’t a standout player. But now, he’s come back to Spurs and been amazing.”

Spurs will be desperate to continue to prove doubters wrong

Hutchison’s assessment is difficult to contest. Udogie, like a number of his Tottenham colleagues, has been a revelation.

He has not only gotten used to playing in the Premier League, but he has also been able to meet Postecoglou’s expectations of him. He also seems to be flourishing.

After the break for the internationals, Spurs still have a lot to prove. Many still seem to be anticipating them to lose some of their early momentum at some point.

However, they have so many players, like Udogie, who have already outperformed expectations, so there will be hope that they can keep putting their critics to rest for a while.
